If you have persistent pain or complications after a previous hernia repair, our team can help evaluate the cause and discuss your treatment options.
Mesh removal may be appropriate in selected cases, including some infections or other mesh complications. Pain after surgery can have more than one cause, so a careful evaluation is important before considering another operation.

We will review your symptoms, previous operations, and available imaging. Please bring your operative reports and details of your prior mesh repair if you have them.
Treatment may include medication, injections, rehabilitation, or surgery. When appropriate, surgical options may include mesh removal, nerve treatment, or repair of a recurrent hernia.
Mesh removal and nerve surgery have risks and may not relieve every symptom. Your surgeon will explain the potential benefits, limitations, and alternatives for your situation.
